THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI(M) leader, A Vijayaraghavan, has said that there must be caution to prevent the entry of decadence of the outside world into the party. He added that party members must maintain good character, high values, and acceptance in society.
A Vijayaraghavan, while speaking to the media, said that EP Jayaraj’s accusation has not come to his notice. He said that the issues discussed in the State Committee has been explained by party secretary MV Govindan. He said that discussions were on in leading the party forward in the best way.

Meanwhile, the State Committee raised criticism against the party’s leadership in Thiruvananthapuram. The disciplinary action has now extended to the SFI too. After visuals came out of SFI leaders dancing in an inebriated state, the SFI Thiruvananthapuram district secretary Gokul Gopinath and President Jobin Jose were removed from their positions.
The action against SFI leaders follows the disciplinary action against a DYFI leader for misbehaving with a woman. He has been suspended from the primary membership of the party.
The suspended DYFI leader, JJ Abhijith was demoted earlier to branch committee on the complaint by a female activist of the party. Meanwhile, an accusation is raised that Abhijith lied about his age to get become District Secretary of SFI.
An audio has surfaced in which Abhijith claims that it was CPI(M) district secretary, Anavoor Nagappan, who told him to lie about his age. However, Anavoor Nagappan has denied this accusation.
