Woman’s murder shocks Delhi amid New year celebrations; victim dragged by moving car for several kms, 5 arrested

NEW DELHI: A woman was brutally killed during New year celebrations in Delhi. The scooter in which the woman was travelling collided with a car. The men in the car were drunk and the woman was dragged for a few kilometres on the road, being entangled in the wheels. This was informed by the witnesses.

The woman died on the spot in the accident. She was dragged for over 8 km as her clothes got stuck in the wheels. Many people who noticed this vehicle tried to inform the police. When the car stopped, the woman’s body was found naked as her clothes were torn off after being dragged. Then the police arrested the five occupants of the car. Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal informed that they have sought information from Delhi police regarding this.
