Another hit and run case similar to Delhi car horror on New Year’s Day

LUCKNOW: Another incident similar to the hit and run case in Delhi has been reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida on New Year’s day. In Delhi, the woman who fell from her scooty was dragged for 13 kilometres. A swiggy employee identified as Kaushal Yadav in UP met with a tragic end.

A car hit his scooter near a flyover in Noida Sector 14 when he was out for a delivery on New Year’s night. An eye-witness said the youth who got stuck under the car was dragged for 500 metres. He stopped his vehicle near a temple and fled the scene after seeing the body.

When Amit, Kaushal's brother called him at 1 am on Sunday, a passer-by attended the call and informed him about the accident. A case was filed based on a complaint filed by Amit and investigation is on. The CCTV visuals are being examined to trace the accused.

Hours after the 20-year-old woman was dragged for 13 km after being hit by a car in Delhi, a similar accident happened in Noida. The body of Anjali Singh was found at Kanjawala in Sultanpuri, Outer Delhi. All her clothes were found torn. Anjali, who was hit by the car fell on the road and was dragged for 13 kilometres. Deepak Khanna, who was in the driver’s seat, Amit Khanna, Krishnan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal were arrested later. The five who were in the car told police that they did not know about the woman being stuck under the car. They said after being hit by a scooter, they panicked and were drunk. They also said that they did not hear anything as the music in the car was loud.
