MUMBAI: Oscar award winner and music director AR Rahman congratulated RRR and its crew on winning the prestigious 'Golden Globe' award for the best original song. The Golden Globe comes to India after fourteen years through the chartbuster song Naatu Naatu.

"Incredible ..Paradigm shift. Congrats Keeravani Garu from all Indians and your fans! Congrats @ssrajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team!", AR Rahman tweeted sharing the video of the award win.

MM Keeravani, who composed the music for the song, received the award for Best Original Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California. Keeravani's son Kala Bhairava and Rahul Siplingunj sang the superhit song.

In 2009, AR Rahman won the Golden Globe award through the film 'Slum Dog Millionaire'. But this is the first time an Indian film in a regional language won the Golden Globe. Keeravani won the award after beating the competition from famous singers like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
