KATHMANDU: It is reported that 72 people including five Indians were killed after a Yeti Airlines flight crashed in Nepal’s Pokhara on Sunday. There were 68 passengers and four crew members in the flight. 68 bodies were found. The five Indians have been identified as UP natives Abhishek Kushwaha, Bishal Sharma, Anil Kumar Rajbhar, Sonu Jaiswal and Sanjaya Jaiswal. 53 of the passengers are Nepalese. Other passengers include five Indians, four Russians, two Koreans and one each from Argentina, Ireland, Australia and France. Six of them are children. The details of the crew have not been received yet.

Crashed on the hillside
The plane crashed into the Seti River gorge between the old and new Pokhara airports in Nepal. The new airport was inaugurated two weeks ago. The last signal was received from the flight at 10.50 am. The half of the flight fell on the mountainside and the other half fell in the gorge. The reason behind this have not been revealed yet. The flight tilted to left while landing and crashed with a loud sound. Black box and cockpit voice recorder should be recovered.
