Law student who misbehaved with actress Aparna Balamurali, suspended

KOCHI: The student who misbehaved with actress Aparna Balamurali during a college union programme, has been suspended from the college. Vishnu, a second year LLB student of Ernakulam Law College, has been suspended for a week. The action was taken by the law college staff council.

The council had sought an explanation from the student after the incident stoked a controversy. Though the student expressed regret, his explanation was rejected and action was taken against him. Actress Aparna Balamurali and Vineeth Sreenivasan came to the college as guests for the college union programme. Their visit was also part of promotion of their film ‘Thangam.’

Vishnu entered the dais with a flower when the programme organized by the law college union was progressing. He then handed a flower to her and tried to make her stand by holding her hands. He then made her stand up by putting his arm around her for a picture. She did not pose with him for a photo. When the visuals of it went viral, the college union led by SFI, expressed regret.
