Woman falls off bike after hit by ball, run over by lorry 

MALAPPURAM: A woman riding pillion fell off from the bike after hit by a football and then was run over by a lorry. The dead has been identified as Fathima Suhra (38) of Trikkalangode in Malappuram. The incident happened last evening at Othayi in the district. The accident happened when she was returning to her in-laws house with her brother and children.

The ball of the children playing football nearby hit their bike. With this, the bike lost control and Fathima fell on the road and the others on the roadside. Meanwhile, a lorry which came behind ran over her. Though she was rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved. Her brother and children escaped unhurt. The body of Fathima has been shifted to Manjeri Medical College.
