TEHRAN: Social platform X has suspended Iran Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s account. The account was suspended after Khamenei posted a message in Hebrew after Israel attacked Iran on Saturday. There were reports that Khamenei is in a serious condition.

‘Zionist regime had made a mistake and made a miscalculation on Iran. We will make them understand Iran’s power and capability,’ Khamenei’s post said. The account was suspended soon after his post surfaced. Hebrew is the official language of Israel.

Reports said Khamenei (85) is in a serious condition and that he has passed away. Unconfirmed reports said Iran’s military has named his second son Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei (55) as his successor.

It is reported that Khamenei is seriously ill. His security was increased recently due to fears of an assassination attempt by Israel. Ali Khamenei became Iran's Supreme leader in 1989, following the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the country's first Supreme leader after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
