KOCHI: A new day, a new trouble for actor Sreenath Bhasi. The actor’s driving license has been suspended by the RTO for the hit-and-run case in Mattancherry Kochi. Mohammad Faheem, a native of Mattancherry Chullikal, was injured after Bhasi’s car hit him and fled away from the spot. The incident took place last month and Sreenath was arrested by the police on later released on bail.
At the same time, the police say that no serious charge has been filed against the actor and the arrest was made only as part of the procedure. On Monday, following the complaint of Muhammad Faheem, the Mattancherry police called the actor to the police station and arrested him. On Sunday, another movie star Baiju Santhosh rammed his car into a biker in Thiruvananthapuram. It was alleged that Baiju was indulged in booze driving.
Last week Sreenath was summoned to the police station to record statements over his meeting with gangster Om Prakash. Police were satisfied with the statements of the actor and confirmed that the actor had nothing to do with the drug trading business involving gangster Om Prakash.
