BENGALURU: Some crucial information has surfaced when the search for Arjun, who went missing in the landslide at Shirur in Karnataka, is progressing. The information that came is that the rope tied to the lorry was found during the search focusing on the lower part of the teashop.

Arjun’s lorry carrying timber was tied with a rope. These ropes were hinted to have been found. The presence of metal was also detected nearby. However, it has not been confirmed that it is the same lorry that went missing. Heavy rains are lashing the area and are hampering the rescue operations. When the rain stops, the search will be intensified. The mud is being taken along the length of the lorry. The rope tied is found unfastened.

There were about 300 timber pieces in the lorry. No logs have been found so far. Apart from the boom earthmoving machine, other cranes are also being used for the search. 10 meters long mud is being removed. The rope was found in the mound. The rains are at times a challenge.

When the mud is being taken from below, there is a chance of falling again from above. So, the cranes are moving the soil. The officials said the rescue operations will continue at night. The officials also informed that they will clarify the situation there.
