MUMBAI: In a tragic incident in the Pydhonie area, four members of a family have died due to suspected food poisoning. The deceased have been identified as Abdullah Dokadia (40), his wife Nasrin Dokadia (35), and their daughters Ayesha (16) and Zainab (13).

According to reports, the family hosted relatives for dinner on Saturday night (April 25) around 10:30 PM, where they consumed biryani. After the guests left, the family reportedly ate watermelon around 1:00 AM. By 5:30 AM the following morning, all four began suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhoea.

They were initially seen by a family doctor, but as their condition deteriorated, they were rushed to JJ Hospital. The younger daughter, Zainab, was the first to pass away on Sunday morning. Abdullah died later that night, followed by Nasrin and their elder daughter, Ayesha. While the post-mortem has been conducted, police stated that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the forensic and histopathology reports are released.
