Second class student sacrificed for fame of school; director, teachers arrested

LUCKNOW: A second-class student was sacrificed to bring success and fame to the school. The incident happened at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested five people including the school director and teachers. The victim was a student of D L Public School in Rasgawan. The incident happened on September 22nd.


Dinesh Baghel, the school director is the main accused in the case. His father Jashodhan Singh believed in black magic. He made his son and his teachers believe that the student should be sacrificed for the fame and glory of the school. Baghel informed others that the student should be sacrificed near the well outside the school. For this, the child was brought there from the school hostel. When he started screaming in fear, the accused suffocated the child to death.


The accused than called his father and said that his son was not feeling well and that he should come to school as soon as possible. The accused called again and told him that his condition is serious and that he is being taken to the hospital. The boy’s father followed the director's car but he refused to stop the car. The car was stopped in Sadabad and the body of the child was found inside the car.


The group had planned to sacrifice another child on September 9. However, the police said that attempt failed then. Then, weeks later, the second grader was murdered. The police also said that during the investigation, they found items for practicing black magic.
