Case against B Unnikrishnan on Sandra Thomas’ complaint of public insult

KOCHI: The police have registered a case against director B Unnikrishnan on the complaint of producer and actress Sandra Thomas. Her complaint said that he insulted her in public. Producer Anto Joseph is the second accused. A case was registered against them as per the directive of the court.

Her complaint said B Unnikrishnan took steps to ostracise her from the film industry for giving a statement before the Hema Committee. Directed others not to cooperate with Sandra Thomas.

The police had earlier registered a case against the members of producers’ association following Sandra's complaint that she faced sexual harassment at a meeting of the association. Immediately after this, Sandra was expelled from the producers' association, citing that she had stained the reputation of the organization. Sandra then approached the court against this and the court stayed her expulsion. After the Hema Committee report was released, Sandra Thomas came out strongly criticizing the producers' association.
