Hybrid ganja worth 7.50 crores seized from luggage at Nedumbassery airport; three people arrested

KOCHI: A massive drug bust has been reported at the Nedumbassery airport. The Customs Department has arrested three people with ganja worth Rs 7.50 crore. The arrested people are Malappuram native Jamsheer, Ernakulam native Nizamuddeen and Kozhikode native Muhammed Sakkeer. The three-member gang, that arrived from Thailand, had cleverly hidden 1492 grams of ganja in their luggage.

According to Customs officials, the seized ganja will be worth Rs 7.5 crore in the international market. The accused were produced in court and remanded.
