Thief who fled during robbery attempt found dead

IDUKKI: A thief who fled during a robbery attempt was found dead in Nedumkandam. The dead has been identified as Joseph, a native of Vattapara in Senapathy panchayat. He committed the theft at Rajendran's house in Chemmannar Konnakkaparambu.

Joseph reached Rajendran’s house at 4 am. Rajendran woke up hearing a noise and tried to catch hold of him. Joseph somehow fled from his hands. A search was conducted by the locals to find him. In the meanwhile, Joseph was found lying dead in the courtyard of another house which is 100 metres away from Rajendran’s house.

The things stolen from Rajendran's house were found near his body. Meantime, Rajendran, who sustained injuries is undergoing treatment at Nedumkandam Taluk Hospital.
