1. Doubling of Alappuzha - Ambalapuzha line (12.66 km)

The single-line bottleneck, which was the biggest obstacle on the Ernakulam - Thuravoor - Kayamkulam route, will now be solved.
Achievement: Nine new passenger trains will be opened in both directions daily. The smooth movement of goods will also lead to a significant increase in the revenue of the railways.
2. Palakkad Town - Parli Bypass Line (1.80 km)
Amount sanctioned: Rs 163.57 crore
The long wait at Palakkad Junction due to engine replacement will now be a thing of the past!
Achievement: The travel time of passenger trains can be saved by 40-44 minutes, and that of freight trains by 120 minutes. The train timings to destinations like Shoranur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Pollachi will improve.
These projects will enhance the railway infrastructure of Kerala and provide an opportunity for passengers to reach their destinations in less time.
