THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Public will have the opportunity to meet the Thiruvananthapuram District Collector in person and lodge complaints on every Friday from 10 am to 12 noon. Revenue minister K. Rajan has given strict instructions in this regard during the inaguration of new conference hall in Collectorate. The action was taken as a response to an open letter written to CM published on the Kerala Kaumudi editorial page last Monday.

A letter send by Prof. B Vivekananadan was published on Kerala Kaumdi newspaper. In his letter, 83-year-old man described his experience when he went to the Collectorate to personally inquire into the action taken on the complaint filed to collector Navjot Khosa.

He was not allowed to visit the collector during the allotted visiting time from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. Although he visited Collectorate to get permission, it was denied. The letter stated that he finally got a chance to see her on January 6 at one o'clock in the afternoon, but the collector shouted at him without even looking at the complaint.
