Efforts being taken to bring back 258 Keralites including four MLAs stranded in Jammu

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reports said 258 Malayalees are stranded in Jammu and Kashmir, where the terror attack happened. NORKA Roots chief executive officer Ajith Kolassery said that he had received information of the Malayalees being stranded. 262 people have registered in 28 groups at the NORKA help desk. Four of them have returned home.


Ajith Kolassery said that efforts are being taken to bring the remaining back home. Tirurangadi MLA KPA Majeed, Neyyattinkara MLA K Ansalan, Kollam MLA M Mukesh, Kalpetta MLA T Siddique,and judges Anil K Narendran, P G Ajith Kumar, and Justice G Girish are among the stranded Malayalees. NORKA Roots informed that all are safe. A four-member legislative assurance committee from Kerala reached Srinagar at 5:30 pm yesterday to attend the Legislative Assembly Committee meeting being held in Srinagar.

Those stranded in Kashmir, who need assistance and are seeking information about their relatives, can call the help desk number and provide information. The chief minister directed Kerala House to provide necessary facilities and arrangements in Delhi as well.
