Family in Ooty, burglary at home: 25 sovereigns of gold stolen from house in Nedumangad

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As much as 25 sovereign gold was stolen from a house in Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram. The theft took place at the house of Anas, a native of Chullimanoor. The thieves also broke the CCTV in the house.

Anas and his family were on a vacation trip to Ooty last Friday. The family came to know about the theft when he returned at 7:50 this morning. The front door was ajar. The 25 sovereigns of gold kept in the cupboard inside the room were missing. However, the thief did not take the money inside the room. Anas and his family immediately went to the Nedumangad police station to file a complaint. The theft was committed after breaking the CCTV in the house. The police reached the spot and collected evidence.
