KOCHI: Congress leader K V Thomas said that he will campaign for the Left Front in the Thrikkakara by-election. He told media that he will attend the convention Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tomorrow.

Thomas said, ‘I am a congressman. My view is that of the congress. My politics is focused on the development activities including K Rail. Will seek votes for LDF candidate Jo Joseph. Will campaign like my own election. Will take a clear stand on development matters.

Those criticising my participation in the programme with the chief minister should remember the history of Karunakaran's previous alliance with the Left Front and his involvement in the government. Didn't the then KPCC president Mullappally know that it was wrong when Ramesh Chennithala took part in the agitation with the chief minister?

Let them oust me if they can. A new party will not be formed. There was an organised effort to expel me from the party in 2018. I have no answer if said that the congress in Kerala is bigger than the AICC. What happened when said that would be expelled if gone to Kannur?

It is a situation where the gate is locked to enter one's own house. CPM leaders invited for the Left Convention. The UDF convention was not informed. I will stand as K V Thomas and not as Cherian Philip. There should be a development oriented vision in Kerala.’
