'Rahul should be reinstated, eligible to contest from Palakkad', says senior Congress leader P J Kurien

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader PJ Kurien made a U-turn again on his statement regarding Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil. PJ Kurien expressed his view that Rahul should be fielded in Palakkad this election after reinstating him into the party.

“The party should decide whether the action should be withdrawn. Why should we be bothered about moral ethos when CPM have none of them? The accused CPM leaders continue to hold office. Why are the morality questions being asked only to Congress leaders?” said PJ Kurien.

PJ Kurien clarified that Rahul met him on the sidelines of a conference the previous day to not express protest.
