ALAPPUZHA: Police on Saturday took custody of the car used by YouTuber Sanju Techy to set up a temporary swimming pool. The RTO informed that Sanju's Tata Safari car will be taken into police custody and the case will be forwarded to the court. The Enforcement RTO will hand over the report and Mahasar to the Alappuzha Magistrate Court in the afternoon. The action is as per the instructions of the High Court.

The car in the custody of the RTO will be handed over to the Mannancherry police. The case is being handed over to the court as part of taking prosecution action against Sanju and his friends for violating MVD rules.

With the controversy brewing up on one side, Sanju posted a video on his YouTube page scoffing the RTO officials. The heedless move from the YouTuber convinced the RTO officials to go ahead with serious punitive measures. In the latest video, Sanju thanked the officials for helping him get more subscribers and fame and took a jibe saying that he would not have achieved the feat even if it needed spending ten lakh rupees.

It was Alappuzha Enforcement RTO that took YouTuber Sanju Techy to task after the popular social media man and his friends prepared a swimming pool inside a car and took a drive across the city in the same vehicle. The registration of the vehicle was cancelled and the license of his friend who was driving the vehicle was suspended for one year. A division bench of the High Court voluntarily intervened when the YouTube video went viral.
