"News from Kannur is insult to red flag": CPI lambasts CPM over Jayarajan issue

binoy-vishwam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With CPM on the defensive in the P Jayarajan issue, its ally in the LDF, CPI, has openly criticized the party. CPI state secretary Binoy Vishwam on Saturday said that the news from Kannur is an insult to the red flag. "Kannur has the traditional of Kayyur, Karivallur and Thillankeri. The news from there is hurting the relatives of the communist movement," Binoy Vishwam said in a statement. He said that those who maintain ties with the underworld are those who betray the left and they are responsible for the defeat of the left wing in the elections.

"The relatives of the Left cannot tolerate the information that those who dress as the saviours of the Left on social media are stewards of the underworld. The role of such people in the setbacks faced by the movement is not small. It is only by consciously distancing itself from them that the Left can regain public confidence and move forward. Those who follow the underworld by turning into slaves of bad money are traitors to the left. The time has come to declare that they cannot be pardoned," he added.
