Tharoor in Kochi today, K Sudhakaran to attend professional congress meet online

KOCHI: As the media attention for the programmes in Kerala attended by Shashi Tharoor rises, he will attend the state meet of All India Professionals Congress in Kochi today. The function will be held at the Presidency Hotel at 10 am. Tharoor, who is also the president of the Professionals Congress, is the keynote speaker. Opposition leader V D Satheesan and KPCC chief K Sudhakaran are the guests for the event. However, K Sudhakaran will inaugurate the function online without attending directly. Meantime, V D Satheesan will arrive for the event.

The organizers said the inaugural function was made online as Sudhakaran is undergoing treatment in Kannur. Tharoor's Malabar tour had created division and confusion in the Congress leadership. The two leaders attending a function together had created a political curiosity. Opposition leader V D Satheesan will inaugurate the function at 5 pm, but Tharoor will leave before this function. Tharoor reaching the venue from Mumbai will be there only till noon. He will call on various leaders and then return to Delhi. DCC president Mohammad Shias is also participating in the meeting.
