Govt to launch 'Eat Rate' app with cleanliness rating of hotels

hotels-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George told the Assembly that the government will soon launch 'Eat Rate' app with a rating and list of clean hotels. The app will soon be available on Play Store. A portal to lodge complaints about hotel food will be ready within 3 days. With the aim of making Kerala a safe place to eat, Street Food Hub project, which includes roadside eateries, has been implemented in four places. This will be extended to more places.

The minister said that there has been a huge increase in the number of people who depend on government hospitals for treatment. Even though state-of-the-art treatment and surgeries are performed in general/district hospitals, there are sometimes some deliberate attempts to denigrate the excellence of government hospitals.

The One Health campaign launched with the objective of achieving environment-friendly health will be extended across the state. In the first phase, it will be implemented in Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta. The minister also said that One Health program is being implemented by including the World Bank assistance.
