KOCHI: CPM state secretary MV Govindan on Saturday said that there is no party inquiry into the resort controversy against LDF convener EP Jayarajan. "Party won't be swayed by any media discussion. There is no party-level investigation on the matter.", he said.

Last day, EP Jayarajan gave an explanation in the state secretariat regarding the resort controversy. He also said that legal action will be taken against the media that is spreading false news linking him in the controversy regarding Ayurvedic resort in Kannur.

It is reported that financial charges were leveled against EP Jayarajan during the discussion on the rectification document in the state committee meeting held at the end of December. But EP Jayarajan's explanation was that it was a business venture started by his son, and that his wife's retirement benefits from the bank were invested in it as per his son's request and that he has no involvement. All resort related procedures are part of statutory approval. EP Jayarajan had also said that now allegations are deliberately being made against him who has been working transparently in public life for more than fourty years.
