47-year-old stabs teen for rejecting love, drags by her hair, arrested

RAIPUR: A 47-year-old man was seen dragging a 16-year-old girl by her hair after stabbing her for rejecting his love. The incident happened on Saturday in Chattigarh, Raipur. The accused identified as Omkar Tiwari alias Manoj has been arrested.

After stabbing her with a knife, he dragged her on the road by her hair. He was holding the knife in his other hand. The video of it had gone viral on social media. The police later registered a case. The police said the girl is in a critical condition and is under the observation of the doctors.

The girl was working at his grocery shop. Tiwari, who was drunk, barged into her house on Saturday and started shouting at the family. He allegedly attacked the girl with a knife and stabbed her in the neck. She tried to run away but Tiwari chased her and dragged her by her hair until she collapsed on the road.
