'Mayor should resign'; Youth Congress protests inside mayor's chamber with waste

KOCHI: Youth Congress protested in Mayor's Chamber regarding Brahmapuram fire issue. Youth Congress activists came with garbage demanding the mayor's resignation. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.

The mayor had earlier stated that he was ready for any investigation into the fire at the Brahmapuram waste plant. Meanwhile, after the fire, there was a situation where waste could not be removed in the city in the last few days.

The stance of the authorities is that there is no need to take the waste to the plant for the time being. The Youth Congress came to the mayor's chamber with waste as a protest against this. But the mayor was not in the office.
