BJP to intensify attack against Rahul Gandhi; Demands his termination from Lok Sabha

NEW DELHI: After his speech in London stoked a controversy, the BJP is to intensify its attack against Rahul Gandhi. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey called for the formation of a special parliamentary committee to investigate Rahul Gandhi's statements. The BJP is trying to terminate Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha membership through an investigation by the committee. Dubey points to the fact that in 2005, a special committee investigated the parliamentary question scam and terminated the membership of 11 MPs.

Meantime, the Delhi Police has issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi for his statement during the Bharat Jodo Yatra that women are still victims of sexual harassment. The notice has asked him to provide information about the women who have approached Rahul with complaints of sexual harassment. However, Rahul Gandhi responded that as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is nervous over Adani issue, the BJP is creating a commotion against him inside and outside the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi addressing the press asked to give him an opportunity to explain his London speech in Parliament.
