Two held for possessing ganja

THODUPUZHA: A woman and her friend have been arrested for possessing ganja. A squad led by DySP M R Madhu Babu arrested Sanal (21) of Njarukutty in Thodupuzha and Sariga (21) of Kozhikode, who has been living with him for the past two months.

Sariga is an employee of a beauty parlor in Thodupuzha. The police had arrested three law students from the lodge the other day who supplied ganja to the two. Parakkal Jibin (26) of Muthalakodam, who bought ganja from them for consumption, was caught with two grams of ganja the other day.

In another incident, a youth and a woman who tried to smuggle drugs from Bengaluru to Kerala were caught in Angamaly. Albeet from Rajakumari in Idukki and Anagha from Kayamkulam were the two arrested. 20 grams of MDMA was seized from them. Police said they are into drug business in Kakkanad.
