Stones pelted at Vande Bharat Express yet again; coach window glass broken, train delayed by four hours

AMARAVATI: Yet another attack has been reported against the Vande Bharat Express. Stones were pelted at the Visakhapatnam- Secunderabad Vande Bharat train in Vishakapatanam in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday evening. This is the third incident of stone pelting against the train in the last three months.

Railway authorities said that the train, which was scheduled to start its journey at 5.45 am, began its journey only at 9.45 am after the window of coach C8 was damaged following the stone pelting. The authorities also said that CCTV footage from the spot is being examined and that the Railway Protection Force will soon nab the accused.

A similar attack took place against the Vande Bharat train in January this year. The glass pane of a coach of Vande Bharat Express was damaged near Kancharapalem in Visakhapatnam. Stones were pelted on train coaches during it was going to the coach care center for maintenance from Visakhapatnam station.
