THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM central committee member A K Balan came forward reacting to the road camera controversy. He said the chief minister did not reply as the investigation is progressing and there had been controversies earlier and the chief minister had not replied even then.

‘Whether the chief minister responds or not is an issue. Now every day are making the companies to react. If have to answer all that every day, then a special system will have to be arranged in the office of the chief minister. If he has not replied, it means that he doesn’t want to reply. What all allegations were levelled, have any of them been proved against the chief minister or his family?

Balan said that he was the minister of legal affairs and parliamentary affairs during the first Pinarayi government. The no-confidence motion against the government was discussed for 11 hours then. The chief minister had replied for three hours. The opposition is still saying the same things raised then. The chief minister had not responded to any of the controversies. The chief minister replies to only what is necessary. All the allegations were later proved to be false. The chief minister is not responding as the vigilance probe is in progress, said Balan.
