MALAPPURAM: An eight-year-old boy, who went missing after the Tanur boat tragedy, has been found. When a search was continuing for him, information came that he was undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College. The child sustained injuries in the accident.

His relatives did not get any information about the child yesterday. His relatives had asked police if there was a child among those undergoing treatment in the hospitals. A search found that the child was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College. With this, it is believed that there are no more victims. No missing complaint has been received so far. Following that, the search has been stopped.

It is suspected that 37 people were in the boat at the time of the accident. Five swam to safety. The death toll has touched 22. The dead include 15 children, five women and two men. Eight including the child found are under treatment.

The chief minister has announced a judicial inquiry into the accident. A financial aid of Rs 10 lakhs will be given to the families of the dead. The government will bear the medical expenses of those undergoing treatment in the hospital. The chief minister condoled that it is a great tragedy that cannot be described in words.
