Exit polls predictions; Congress to overtake BJP in Karnataka; JDS will be kingmaker

BENGALURU: Exit poll results out in Karnataka after polling time ends. Most of the exit poll results are predicting an advance for Congress. The survey results show that although the BJP will show a better performance, the kingmaker will be JDS. The News 18 exit poll predicts a hung ministry. News18 predicts that the incumbent BJP will get 88 to 98 seats while the Congress will emerge as the single largest party with 99 to 109 seats. JDS will get 21 to 26 seats. Other minor parties may win up to four seats.


Times Now-ETG predicts that the Congress will win the required 113 seats to rule. BJP 85, JDS 23 and others three. According to South First-People's Pulse, BJP will get 79-80 seats, Congress 107 to 119, JDS 23 to 29 seats and others one seat each.

According to India Today-Axis My India, Congress will win 17-28 seats in Bengaluru region. BJP will win 10 seats and others will win one seat. Congress is predicted to get 44 percent vote share, BJP 38 percent, JD(S) 15 percent and others 3 percent. According to the ABC-CVoter exit results, Congress will have a clear lead but will not get enough seats to govern. They are predicting 100 to 112 seats. The result of the survey is that BJP will win 83 to 95 seats, JDS 21 to 29 seats and others two to four seats.
