Student succumbs to injuries sustained after tree falls on top of bus stop

WAYANAD: A student, who sustained injuries after a coconut tree uprooted and fell on top of the bus waiting area, died here Sunday. The accident happened last evening at Pulliyarmala in Kalpetta, Wayanad. The dead is Nandu (19), a native of Kattikulam. Nandu died this afternoon while undergoing treatment at the private medical college hospital in Meppadi.

Nandu was an ITI student. The accident happened when he was waiting for the bus to return home from college. The tree fell on top of the bus stand in heavy rains and winds. Nandu was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
