Father, son attacked brutally for questioning reckless parking; incident in Kovalam

VIZHINJAM: A father and his 12th-standard son were beaten brutally by a gang of two near Nedumom in Kovalam. The incident happened at 8:30 yesterday night. Vijayan and his Son Ananthu returned back to their home to see a vehicle parked recklessly blocking entrance to their home. Vijayan questioned the parking and asked the people to move the vehicle away.

The gang irked by the response attacked the father-son duo. The cry for help from the two brought Vijayan's wife and elder son to the melee. Vijayan’s wife was pushed to the ground by the assailants while his elder son suffered minor injuries. The Kovalam police arrested one person associated with the crime while the second one is still at large. Vijayan and his son are currently under treatment in Medical college.
