Two drown in Thriveni Sangamam in Moolamattom

THODUPUZHA: Two people died in Moolamattom Thriveni Sangamam after swept away by strong undercurrents. The dead have been identified as Biju (54) of Saji Bhavan and Santhosh (56) of Santhosh Bhavan of Moolamattom in Idukki. They came with the children who were bathing in Thriveni Sangamam.

Meanwhile, as more water flowed from the Moolamattom power plant, the children got stuck in the currents. Santhosh and Biju were swept away by strong undercurrents while trying to save the children.
