Revoke Alencier’s award, his mental illness has aggravated, says Hareesh Peradi

Actor Hareesh Peradi slammed actor Alencier for his anti-women remarks during the award function of the Kerala State Film Awards ceremony through a Facebook post. Hareesh Peradi responded that the government should revoke his award. Hareesh Peradi criticized that none of the people's representatives or people from the arts and cultural field were ready to respond against the actor despite making misogynist remarks. After receiving the award from the chief minister, Alencier said that he should not be tempted by giving a sculpture of a female.

His post said that if Unni Mukundan had said this dialogue, there would have been a progressive backlash, but it was Alencier, a communist, who said this. Alencier's remark that he should not be tempted by giving a female sculpture along with the state film award money, had sparked a controversy.
