PALAKKAD: Stray dog ​​attack in classroom. The incident took place at Kalladi Abdu Haji Higher Secondary School, Kottopadam, Mannarkkad. A sixth-class student was bitten. Mehra, a native of Kottopadam, was the victim of the star dog attack. She was ​​attacked while the class was going on.

This morning at around 10:30 in the first period, a stray dog ​​ran into the room and bit Mehra who was sitting in the front seat. The child was bitten on the hip. Mehra escaped without further injuries due to the intervention of the teacher.

It is reported that the student was bitten by a dog infected with rabies. The child is under observation at the district hospital. The child's father said that the rabid dog had been disturbing the school premises for the past two weeks. The locals were in a panic when the news spread that a dog with rabies was roaming in the area. The father revealed that Mehra, who usually walks, was taken to school today by car for this reason.

Apart from Mehra, four other people in the area were also bitten by the same dog. Another student of the school was also bitten by a dog outside the school the other day. The school authorities have lodged a complaint with the district education officer.
