Congress leader suspended for participating in Navakerala Sadas; explanation that party has been insulted

navakerala-

MALAPPURAM: Congress leader suspended for participating in Navakerala Sadas. Malappuram DCC member AP Moideen has been suspended from party membership. Malappuram DCC president VS Joy is the one who took action against Moideen.

The DCC president said that the action was because Moideen brought disrespect to the party and violated the party's instructions. Moideen attended the morning meeting of Navkerala Sadas held at Tirur, Malappuram. Congress and League leaders participating in Navakerala Sadas, ignoring the UDF call not to participate in Navakerala Sadas, is a big setback for the party. Panakkad Hyderali Thangal's son-in-law Haseeb Saqaf Thangal also came to attend the Navakerala Sadas in Tirur, Malappuram. Apart from them, Thanalur's former panchayat president and league leader PP Ibrahim had also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan reiterated that not participating in CPM's Navakerala Sadas was a political decision and that action would be taken if violated. AP Moideen responded to the issue saying that he participated in Navakerala Sadas to present general topics and he had not received any official instructions not to participate in the program. Moideen said that his position is not to stay away from programs that promote progressive activities and that the collector's invitation letter stated that it was not an official political program.
