Assailants fire at Harikishan; woman chases them away with broom; video viral

BHIWANI: In Haryana's Bhiwani yesterday, four men on two bikes shot at Harikishan, the accused in the Ravi Boxer murder case, who was standing outside his house. The woman who came to the rescue chased away the assailants with a broom. The attack took place at Dabur Colony yesterday around 7.30 am. Police officer Deepak told the media that Harikishan was seriously injured and was referred to PGIMS Rohtak for treatment.

The footage of the attack was captured on the nearby CCTV. Harikishan was standing outside his house. Soon four people on two bikes stopped near him. The people in the back seat got down and opened fire. Harikishan ran back home and escaped but was shot. The assailants, still outside the gate, continued firing. Hearing the gunshots, a woman came out of the house next door and chased them away with a broom. The assailants were visibly shocked, and the four sped away on bikes. Later they are seen entering the house to check on him. Police including officials from Anaj Mandi Outpost, City Police Station and CIA reached the spot and conducted an investigation.

Harikishan, an accused in the murder case of boxer Ravi, who is believed to be associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is now out on bail. Three months ago, the Bhiwani police had arrested five people suspected of planning an attack on Harikishan. The video of the woman chasing the shooters with a broom has gone viral on social media.
