Congress leader and former minister P Cyriac John passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Agriculture Minister and Congress leader P Cyriac John passed away on Thursday night. He was 90 years old. During 1982-83, he served as the Agriculture Minister in the K Karunakaran cabinet. He had won elections four times in a row and lost four times in a row. He had served as President of Thamarassery Service Cooperative Bank, President of Kerala State Marketing Cooperative Federation and Board Member of Indian Rubber.

He had also held posts such as KPCC member, KPCC Executive Member, Farmers Congress State President and NCP State President. Cyriac John is survived by his wife Annakkutty. The funeral will take place at Holy Family Church in Kattippara.
