Kerala to become first digital literate state in India

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: By November 1, Kerala will become India's first digital literate state. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to intensify the activities for this. A committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to oversee the activities.

NCC, NSS, Samoohika Sannadhasena, Kudumbashree, and Youth Welfare Board will conduct state-wide data collection from February 1 to 7 with the participation of volunteers and students. Training will be given to the learners from 1st April to 31st July. The assessment of learners will be held in August. The declaration of completion at the local government, constituency and district levels will be held in October. On November 1, the state will declare full digital literacy.

Ministers MB Rajesh, V Sivankutty, R Bindu and others also spoke in the meeting.
