Bear in human settlement in Wayanad to be tranquilized soon, under drone surveillance

KALPETTA: A bear entered a human settlement in Wayanad will be tranquilized soon. A drone is being flown over the plantation in Tharuvana to monitor the bear. It is reported that if the bear comes out of the garden into the field, it will be immediately tranquilized. The bear hiding near the paddy field in Tharuvana's Karingari was forced out of there by bursting firecrackers. From here the bear went to the plantation.

The veterinary team is present at the paddy field. Wayanad North-South DFOs also reached Karingari. A dart team is also waiting at the spot. Efforts are on to get the bear out of the plantation and into the field. Once in the field, it will be drugged immediately. The bear entered the Payally area on Sunday morning. There, the footage of the bear was recorded on the CCTV of a house. Later, the bear reached Valliyoorkavu. The bear continued to travel through the inhabited area and later reached Karingari's Kommayad area and then the paddy field.
