'At least they remembered now': Congress reacts to Advani's Bharat Ratna award

NEW DELHI: Congress has welcomed the central government's decision to award Bharat Ratna to senior BJP leader LK Advani. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was speaking in response to the question of media workers. His reaction was on his way back after attending a program organized by Delhi PCC.

At the same time, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit responded that it was too late for BJP to honour Advani. The son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit also said that Advani is the reason for all the achievements of the BJP today. Sandeep accused the BJP of doing many hurtful things to Advani.

The Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray faction also welcomed the decision to confer the award on Advani. Anand Dubey demanded that this is something that the Sena has been demanding for a long time. He also asked why Balasaheb Thackeray and Savarkar were not awarded Bharat Ratna.
