KOCHI: Shone George, son of P C George, who recently joined the BJP, has come forward with a new allegation against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He alleged that an official identified as R Mohan, who gave clean chit to Pinarayi Vijayan in an investigation of the income tax department, in the Lavalin case in 2008, is presently a member of his personal staff. He pointed that this former officer of the income tax department is a member of the chief minister’s personal staff for years.

Shone said the officer found place in the chief minister's personal staff as an acknowledgement for his deed. In a press conference held in Kochi, Shone George said that he will file a complaint with the central government.

He said that when the chief minister himself mentioned this case in the assembly the other day, inquired about it, and unexpectedly R Mohan’s name was noticed.

Shone convened the press meet with the list containing the names of those in the chief minister’s personal staff. He also released the document of the clean chit given to the chief minister in the Lavalin allegations before the media. The fourth name in the list of chief minister's personal staff is that of R Mohanan, and he is the same Mohanan who gave clean chit to the chief minister years ago.
