Siddharth brutally beaten and not given food or water for three days: Anti-ragging squad

VYTHIRI: The anti-ragging squad found that the deceased KS Siddharth, a student of Pookode Veterinary College, was brutally beaten without food or water for three days. It was found that the students of the hostel were threatened and made to beat Siddharth. 98 students testified before the anti-ragging squad.


The beating took place in room number 21 of the boys' hostel, in the courtyard, around the water tank and on the campus hill. He was beaten with a belt and kicked several times to the ground. His hair was grabbed and pulled. He was hit several times on the cheek. The students also testified that Siddharth was kicked on the stomach and chest.

Ragger also allegedly woke up the sleeping students and asked them to beat Siddharth.

Those who were not ready to beat him were threatened. Some beat Siddharth and left crying. After calling the students to the courtyard, Siddharth was stripped naked before being beaten. Siddharth was crying all this time.


He was also made to wipe dirty water on the ground. The accused felt that Siddharth might do the extreme and they kept watch all night on February 17. He was brutally beaten again until the afternoon of February 18. Later, Siddharth was found dead.
