There is agreement between Vaidekam and Niramaya Resort: VD Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan said that there is an agreement between Vaidekam Resort, which is associated with LDF convener and CPM central committee member EP Jayarajan, and Niramaya Resort of Thiruvananthapuram BJP candidate and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

There is a picture of EP Jayarajan's family standing with Niramaya's officials after signing the contract. Neither Rajeev Chandrasekhar nor EP Jayarajan denied it. Both say that they have never seen each other. We have not alleged collusion. However, the institutions became one, only after that agreement. The name change to Niramaya-Vaidekam Resort is like saying CPM-BJP. If they want more proof, file a case. Full documents can be produced in court.

Income Tax and ED inspections were conducted at Vaidekam. EP wisely struck a deal with Niramaya. With this, the central investigation stopped. Let Rajeev Chandrasekhar say that Niramaya is not his own.

LDF convenor said that the BJP would come second in many places and that many of their candidates are good just to please the Centre. He said so because Pinarayi Vijayan asked him to. Pinarayi, who is afraid of the monthly payment and Lavalin cases, is trying to make room for the BJP. It won't happen, BJP won't open an account anywhere, and won't even come second.

Even if they unite in Thrissur, UDF will win. The ED investigation in Karuvannur reached nowhere. BJP is using ED to keep the CPM scared. Satheesan also mocked that the CPM, which is contesting in a countable number of seats, is the one trying to bring down Modi.

Congress is playing politics of lies: Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha Constituency NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that people should recognize those who lie to gain political advantage and reject them.

'I have no relation with CPM leader EP Jayarajan and have never met him personally. Neither I, nor any of my associates, nor any entity under my control, have anything to do with his Vaidekam. Congress is spreading lies and creating division among voters.

Congress is trying to implement the Telangana formula here. I have no enmity with anyone, the difference is only ideological. Congress is trying to consolidate Muslim votes. Congress move is to prevent Muslims from going to the left and is spreading the word that there is a BJP-CPM alliance. EP is not the only one who said that I am a good candidate,' Rajeev Chandrasekaran added.

CPM-BJP agreement on four seats: Chennithala

Former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala alleged in a press conference that he suspected that the CPM would switch the vote for the four BJP candidates whom Left Front convener EP Jayarajan described as brilliant.

In the last assembly elections, the CPM-BJP alliance in 69 seats resulted in a loss of four percent of the votes for the BJP and continued rule for the CPM.

Sitaram Yechury and D Raja abstained from the Nyaya Yatra closing meeting due to pressure from Pinarayi Vijayan. KC Venugopal is contesting before the Rajya Sabha term ends to retake Alappuzha from CPM. He said that the Congress position is to bring down Modi first and concerns about the Rajya Sabha seat comes only later.
