NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has now sought the help of Apple company to unlock the iPhone of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to acquire shady details of the liquor scam. ED decided to approach Apple company after Kejriwal refused to reveal the password albeit hours of questioning.
According to the emerging reports, ED has hitherto failed to acquire any electronic evidence against Kejriwal in the liquor scam case. Previously, ED searched all computers of the Delhi CM but it yielded no results.
Kejriwal has informed ED that he used a different phone when the liquor scam happened, and not the mobile device mentioned by ED. However, the officials are not ready to fully take into belief the words of the Delhi CM. It is reported that the ED has seized four mobile phones used by Kejriwal.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party has come forward alleging that the phone seizure tactic from ED is a vile one that will help leak out the party’s election strategies and alliances. Senior AAP leader Atishi had earlier alleged BJP of using ED as a political weapon, to gouge out the party secrets related to elections.
