Green Protocol Nodal Officer warns against thermocol use in election campaigns; Rate Chart for election materials released

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Green Protocol Nodal Officer has informed that using thermocol characters on arches and boards made for election campaigns or other advertisements is an offense punishable with a fine of Rs.10,000.

A one-day rate chart of materials used by candidates and political parties in elections has been released.

Election campaign office: Rs. 20 per square foot

Booth near polling station: Rs. 500 to set up

Small stage in vehicles: Rs. 3,000

Big stage: Rs. 5,500

Stage for ten people: Rs. 6,500

Stage for twenty people: Rs. 8,750

Podium: Rs. 275

Audio song recording (solo): Rs. 5,000 each

Board in wooden frame: Rs. 30 per sq.ft.

Balloon decorated election arch: Rs. 3,000 for one, Rs. 4,500 for a fully decorated jeep

Cloth banner with wooden board: Rs. 30 per sq.ft.

Chendamelam poster Double dummy: Rs. 4,000 per 1000 pcs

Demmi: Rs. 2,000 per 1000 pcs

Half dummy: Rs. 1,100

VIP chair: Rs. 60

Ceiling fan: Rs. 186

Loudspeaker with amplifier and microphone: Rs. 4,000 and extra Rs. 2,000 per day
